They won the Best Paper Award in the Socially Responsible Language Modelling Research (SoLaR) workshop at the 2023 Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems (NeurIPS), held in December. 

Cristina joined DSI as a postdoc after two years as a postdoc in Computer Science (and a visiting PhD student before that). She has been an active member of the DSI community for much of her time at Brown, helping to organize Fair February in 2021 and 2022, and the Women in Data Science datathon in 2023. DSI postdocs work with faculty in our unit and across campus. Cristina currently works with Stephen Bach, a co-chair of the DSI Campus Advisory Board.
