He has just completed his Ph.D. program in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry, getting his master’s degree in Data Science along the way through Brown’s Open Graduate Education program.
Through the Open Graduate program, students in Ph.D. programs can get a master’s degree during their Ph.D. studies in another field at no extra cost.
Supported by the Joukowsky Family Foundation, up to four awards are given each year, one in each general area of humanities, and life, physical, and social sciences. William’s dissertation is entitled Drosophila Dosage Compensation as a Model for Combinatorial Transcriptional Regulation. You can read more about his work.
