Wookyeong Song is a postdoctoral researcher at the Data Science Institute working with Larry Han. He earned his PhD in Statistics at the University of California, Davis, advised by Professor Hans-Georg Müller. Before that, he earned his B.S. in Mathematical science and Statistics from Seoul National University.

Wookyeong is broadly interested in statistics and data science for modern datasets with complex intrinsic structure. His current research focuses on developing geometry-aware statistical methods for random objects that take values in general metric spaces, and on applying these methods to real-world problems, particularly in biomedical and neuroscience domains.
