Linda Clark

Associate Teaching Professor, Data Science, Academic Director of the DSI Online Master's Program

Biography

Dr. Clark specializes in data science pedagogy, including curriculum design and classroom teaching.  She holds a dual appointment with the Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning.  She is the founding Academic Program Manager for the Data Science: Governance Policy and Society online masters degree.  This unique interdisciplinary program prepares both technical and non-technical professionals to address issues related to data science/AI policy and legislation around fairness, bias, and transparency.  She is the founding director of the Data Science Fellows program.  An intergenerational approach to developing and enhancing Brown University faculty teaching. Dr. Clark enjoys designing technical curriculum for non-specialists and previously served as the founding director for the undergraduate Data fluency certificate.  Prior to Brown, Dr. Clark was an assistant professor of Statistics at Penn State University and holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Penn State.
